Klopp jokes about £66m Keita, asked about £8m Robertson

Jurgen Klopp was asked to discuss the futures of two Liverpool targets on Wednesday.

The Reds beat Crystal Palace in a friendly, after which Klopp held a press conference.

Earlier in the day, RB Leipzig claimed to have received a £66million bid for midfielder Naby Keita.

It was also reported that their pursuit of Andrew Robertson had entered its final stages, with the club agreeing an £8m fee for the Hull left-back.

After the victory over Palace, Klopp was asked about his thoughts on the Keita revelations.

“What do you know? £66m turned down today?” he said. “Are we in Vegas? I told you I don’t speak about this.

“Not Vegas, what is it on the other side of the island in Asia? Yes, Macau. Are we in Macau? No.”

When asked about potential bargain Robertson, he offered even less insight.

“I never say anything about anybody until they have actually signed or left,” he said. “When that’s happened I’ll tell you immediately.”
