Klopp: Man United and Man City making my job ‘difficult’

Jurgen Klopp says the fine form of both Manchester clubs is making his job at Liverpool “even more difficult”.

Liverpool travel to Leicester on Saturday in our game to watch, hoping to secure a first win in five games.

Klopp’s side slumped to a 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat to the Foxes in midweek, and their Premier League form has also tailed off after a promising start.

They are eighth in the table after five matches, with both City and United boasting 13 points from a possible 15.

Klopp says their excellent form is making a difference even at Anfield.

“Everywhere it’s the same but here a little bit more (in terms of expectation),” Klopp said.

“Obviously it’s difficult in this place not to be No 1, even though they were not No 1 in the last 25 years.

“Especially when the Manchester teams are flying, that makes it even more difficult but I cannot change this.

“What I can do is cool the situation here down and do the right things again and work on the other things. That’s how it is always. I only feel the difference when I meet you (the media), you are my public. When I meet you I know something is obviously really wrong.”
