Jurgen Klopp has refused to pass comment on rumours that he is interested in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic.

Reports emerged over the weekend that Liverpool had held talks over the 17-year-old’s future, and that an £11m bid would be lodged.

Klopp managed the American youth during his time in Germany, and Pulisic has developed into one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting talents.

A move is unlikely to materialise before next week’s deadline however, with the Reds expected to pursue his signature when the transfer window reopens in the winter.

When asked of the rumours after Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Sunday – from which you can read 16 Conclusions here – the manager refused to comment.

“No transfer rumors. I have no comment for this. Absolutely nothing to speak about,” Klopp said.

“That’s for all the other cases too. When we know something and when we are close to doing something then we will inform you… or a little bit later.”
