Jurgen Klopp remains calm over Liverpool’s pursuit of Naby Keita, saying the Reds still have plenty of time to achieve their transfer objectives.
RB Leipzig star Keita is Klopp’s primary target this summer, with Liverpool understood to have had a £57million offer rejected for the Guinea international.
The Bundesliga club have remained consistent in their stance that Keita is not for sale, but Liverpool are understood to be ready to pay a hefty price to land the 22-year-old.
Klopp is currently in Hong Kong with Liverpool for the Premier League Asia Trophy. He was asked at a press conference if there had been any developments over Keita.
He said: “Nothing new to say about this. It’s the transfer market. Everything is open until August 31.
“I am not easy to frustrate. It’s the transfer market. Sometimes things work out, sometimes they don’t.”
