Jurgen Klopp may be without “the brain” during his first match in charge of Liverpool this weekend.
Zeljko Buvac, who has been Klopp’s assistant throughout his career, is still waiting on his work permit, and it is reported that the Bosnian could miss the Reds’ trip to White Hart Lane this weekend.
Klopp has been assisted by Buvac throughout his managerial career. The pair played together at Mainz before Klopp asked the 54-year-old to join his staff upon being appointed as boss. Buvac, who Klopp refers to as “the brain”, then followed the manager to Dortmund.
Peter Krawietz has been taking Liverpool training with Klopp this week, as the players not on international duty get their first taste of life under their new manager.
