Frank Lampard thinks he could have “adapted” to Sir Alex Ferguson’s managerial style if he had played under the former Manchester United manager.
The former England international had a glittering career, winning four Premier League titles, three FA Cups, a Champions League and a Europa League in his time at Chelsea.
Ferguson managed the Red Devils for 27 years in a trophy-laden tenure at Old Trafford and when asked whether he could have seen himself playing under the Scot, Lampard replied: “I always had huge respect for Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
“I just think what he achieved in the game over so many years, I think he was quite a hard taskmaster but I like to work hard so think I could have adapted to that.
“Huge respect for Alex Ferguson, I read all his books. I listen to the talks he gives and think he was a fantastic manager.”
