Lazio have already rejected a £61.4million offer for Manchester United and Manchester City target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Milinkovic-Savic has emerged as a Premier League target over the past year, with the midfielder impressing in Serie A.
The 22-year-old has 11 goals and six assists in 33 games, and has attracted interest from both Manchester clubs and Real Madrid.
Lazio say they would want more than £61.4million for his services however, having already rejected a bid of that amount last summer.
“I wouldn’t know how much he’s worth, but €70million would be too little,” sporting director Igli Tare told Mediaset.
“Over the summer we received, and rejected, an offer worth €70million for Milinkovic-Savic.
“We want to make Lazio a point of arrival for players rather than a stepping stone to bigger clubs.
“We have a lot of work to do, but that is our objective.
“The team was built to achieve certain objectives and from now until the end of the season, there will be no more transfer market distractions.”
Milinkovic-Savic responded to claims over his long-term future over the weekend.
“It’s nice when people are talking about me,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“But I don’t place too much importance on these things.
“I’m happy at Lazio and am feeling good here for now, but then we will have to see.”
