Lewandowski hits out at ‘bullsh*t’ transfer speculation
Robert Lewandowski has branded rumours of his imminent departure from Bayern Munich as “bullsh*t”.
Lewandowski has come in for criticism in recent weeks after airing controversial views about the current state of Bayern.
Club legend Stefan Effenburg hit out at the striker for his comments, hinting that Bayern could look to sell him.
Chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also responded to the claims, making direct reference to Lewandowski’s apparent wish to join Real Madrid.
Speaking after a 4-0 win over Mainz on Saturday, in which he scored twice, the reported Manchester United and Chelsea summer target dismissed speculation linking him elsewhere.
“I have no obligation to comment on every time on every bit of nonsense,” Lewandowski told Bayerischen Rundfunk.
“Whether it means anything or not, the truth is I don’t have to say something about this bullsh*t.”
