Livermore looking forward to playing the big boys

Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore can’t wait to get started again in the Premier League after Hull bounced straight back at the first attempt.

Steve Bruce’s men edged out Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 in last month’s Championship play-off final at Wembley and Livermore already has his eye on the new Premier League season.

“It’s been a long old season but the boys have been fantastic throughout,” said Livermore.

“We had a dip in form at the wrong time, but we were able to bounce back and last Saturday was a special day for everyone – the manager, the staff, the owners, the players and the fans.

“We can now look forward to playing all of the big clubs in the Premier League again. Tottenham will obviously be a special one personally but they’re all going to be exciting.

“We’re just happy to be back up there and to give something back to our fans.”
