Liverpool have an ‘agreement in place’ to sign French winger Thomas Lemar – but not with Monaco.
Liverpool have targeted Lemar over the past 12 months, failing in a late bid to sign him last summer.
Premier League rivals Arsenal also lodged an offer worth around £90million, but were unable to strike a deal.
Jurgen Klopp’s side remain interested in the forward however, who is also said to be a fan of theirs.
In a transfer exclusive detailing the Reds’ interest in Gremio striker Luan, Yahoo Sport provide an update as to Lemar’s future.
‘Liverpool have an agreement in place with Thomas Lemar to join the club having courted the France winger for much of last year, but have refused to meet AS Monaco’s asking price of at least €100m.’
The author of the story, Duncan Castles, also adds that the club are keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic, but a deal for the American would be far harder to negotiate.
