Liverpool have revealed that Daniel Sturridge will not require a scan on his latest injury.
Sturridge was injured while scoring Liverpool’s third goal in the 3-0 friendly win over Bayern Munich, and taken off as a precaution.
Jurgen Klopp said after the match that he hoped the injury was not serious, and that now looks to be the case.
However, Sturridge will miss Liverpool’s next preseason game, the Audi Cup final in Germany.
‘Sturridge will be treated at the club’s training base in Rottach-Egern today and the issue will continue to be monitored,’ a piece on Liverpool’s official website says.
‘There are currently no plans for a scan to take place in Germany.
‘As it stands, the No.15 is not ruled out of any further matches beyond this evening’s.’
