Liverpool set to pay £45m for Brahimi – report

Liverpool are willing to pay £45m to sign Porto wide man Yacine Brahimi, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola.

The Reds look set to miss out on Mario Gotze but Brahimi – previously linked with Manchester United – could be the next-best option, having scored ten goals and registered 11 assists for Porto this season.

The Algerian international joined Porto two years ago for just £5m so that would be quite the profit for the Portuguese club, though Brahimi is part-owned by agency group Doyen Sports.
