Liverpool target Houssem Aouar has responded to recent speculation over his future.
Liverpool are one of a number of clubs credited with an interest in 19-year-old Aouar.
The Lyon midfielder, who can play central or on the left-hand side, has established himself in the first team this season after making his debut last February.
He has scored five goals and assisted three in 33 appearances this campaign, starting 22 games.
When asked about his future, he insisted he was happy to continue developing in France.
“I hear the rumours, like you. I have ears!” he told France Football.
“I have eyes too, to see a few things left and right. The guy who says he doesn’t hear stuff or listen to anything, is not telling the truth. But there’s nothing you can do. All of that doesn’t bother me.
“I’m well protected with my family. It’s nice to hear, but I’m not getting carried away. My feet are firmly on the ground. I’ve only got a good half-season behind me, and I have everything to develop at Lyon.”
Barcelona have also been linked with the teenager, and when asked whether he would like to play for them one day, he replied: “Of course, but that applies to every great club!
“It’s normal to be ambitious at 19.”
