Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been reminded of his responsibilities by the Football Association following his animated post-match conversation with Southampton’s Nathan Redmond.
The FA on Friday sought observations from Guardiola, giving him until Monday to respond.
Press Association Sport understands the FA accepts the Catalan’s version of events and will not take the matter further. Guardiola has been reminded of his responsibilities and the matter is now considered closed.
Meanwhile, David Silva will not travel to Ukraine for Manchester City’s final Champions League group game against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday.
The Spain playmaker, who scored the late winner in the Premier League leaders’ victory over West Ham on Sunday, is being rested for the Group F game in Kharkiv.
Kevin De Bruyne was also absent from the squad which left Manchester on Monday afternoon as he is suspended for the game.
Both players will be expected to return for the derby clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The only other notable omissions from the travelling party were injured defenders Benjamin Mendy and John Stones.
Youngsters Phil Foden, Brahim Diaz, Tosin Adarabioyo and Daniel Grimshaw were included by manager Pep Guardiola.
City are already assured of top spot in the group having won their opening five matches.
