Manchester City have made a final offer for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez ahead of the transfer deadline, according to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
Earlier reports hinted that City’s previous offers had fallen below the Foxes’ asking price with their last offer coming in at £55million.
The Algeria international is understood to have been earmarked as a potential late target for the Premier League leaders after the blow of losing Leroy Sane to injury.
The new offer is reported to be worth £65million and includes a player – but the identity of that City player is so far unknown.

Mahrez handed in a transfer request on Tuesday after the Premier League leaders showed their interest in the 26-year-old.
He did the same in the summer over a potential move to Serie A side Roma but the Foxes remained strong and kept him at the club.
With two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract, Leicester have again taken a hard stance and are thought to be keen to keep the winger.
However, unlike the previous offers, the 2015/16 Premier League champions are ‘considering’ the deal on the table and are yet to provide a response.
