Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has joined Sevilla on loan for the rest of the season, the Premier League club have announced.

The Frenchman completed his medical on Wednesday and will spend the campaign at the La Liga side.

Nasri had struggled for game time over the last couple of seasons due to injury and form, scoring two goals in 12 appearances last season.

He had come on in City’s 3-1 victory over West Ham on Saturday, but he has failed to impress Pep Guardiola enough to be guaranteed a role in his squad moving forward.

Nasri is the third player to leave City on transfer deadline day after Wilfried Bony and Joe Hart departed.
