Txiki Begiristain says Manchester City will actively help Joe Hart to find a new club before the end of the transfer window.
Hart appeared to make his farewell appearance in a City shirt in Wednesday’s 1-0 victory over Steaua Bucharest after falling out of favour following the arrival of Pep Guardiola.
City have now signed Claudio Bravo in a £17million deal from Barcelona, meaning the England international is now third-choice goalkeeper at the club.
The 29-year-old’s options appear limited after Everton boss Ronald Koeman ruled out a move, while Liverpool, Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund have all failed to act upon reported interest.
Director of football Begiristain said: “We will try to find a good solution for everybody.
“We now have one week to make him happy and find a club where he has a real chance. We will try and help him because he deserves it.”
