Man United anticipate shock Zlatan return alongside Pogba

Manchester United could welcome both Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic back into their squad against Newcastle on Saturday.

United return to Premier League action against the other United at Old Trafford, hoping to rekindle their title push.

According to The Sun, both Pogba and Ibrahimovic are ‘pushing for a place on the bench’.

Pogba has been sidelined since September, and has featured just four times in the Premier League this season. Ibrahimovic has been out with a knee injury since April.

Neil Custis reports that both are back in training, and are now in contention to feature against Newcastle.

It was initially thought that Ibrahimovic could be out of action until 2018, but his recovery has ‘defied the odds’.

Pogba’s injury is a little less clear cut, the midfielder reportedly clashing with the club over his use of a personal medical team and fitness regimes not set by United.

Could their returns rescue United’s sludgy attack?
