Man United have ‘four more players’ on transfer shortlist

Manchester United have four more players on their transfer shortlist after the signing of Alexis Sanchez, according to a report.

Writing in the Independent, Miguel Delaney reports that Jose Mourinho no longer requires the right winger that he previously demanded, because Sanchez ticks all the boxes.

They will still make an approach to Mesut Ozil on a free transfer in the summer, but are aware of his high wage demands.

Instead, a central midfielder is now apparently the priority. That’s because Michael Carrick is retiring and Marouane Fellaini might be off, while Ander Herrera’s form has tailed off badly.

Delaney writes that United have a shortlist of four players for the position. It includes Jean-Michael Seri of Nice,  Fred of Shakhtar Donetsk, Carlos Soler of Valencia and Julian Weigl at Borussia Dortmund. Nice work if you can get it.
