Manchester United are ‘in talks’ with Inter Milan over the signing of winger Ivan Perisic, according to Sky Sports.

Jose Mourinho was linked with an interest in Perisic back in March, when he travelled to watch a Croatia friendly (for which the winger was actually suspended).

The Portuguese is now planning for the Champions League after securing qualification through victory in the Europa League earlier this month.

Sky Sports claim that Perisic is one of his targets, and that both the player and Inter Milan are ‘keen on the deal’.

The 28-year-old scored ten goals and provided a further ten assists in 41 games in all competitions for Inter this season, but the Italian side are thought to be considering a squad revamp this summer.

The sale of Perisic would help fund any spending, with the fee for his sale expected to be ‘in excess of £36million’.

Mourinho told Sky Sports at the weekend: “He (Ed Woodward) knows since March, who I want, what I want, how much I want.

“He knows everything since March and now it’s for him to work, because he will have holidays in August and I will be working.”
