Man United man implores club to re-sign Ibrahimovic

Manchester United have been implored to re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic by Daley Blind.

Ibrahimovic joined United as a free agent last summer, scoring an impressive 28 goals and assisting a further ten in 46 appearances.

His spell was cut short by injury however, and United chose not to renew his one-year deal.

But reports emerged recently stating that he had stunned the club’s medical staff with his recovery from a serious knee injury, with his reward being a new United deal.

Blind hopes to reunite with the Swedish forward.

“Of course,” he told NBC Sports when asked whether he should join. “No doubt he would again be another big signing and last year he gave a big boost for the team.

“He is still a great player and great person and he makes everything better.”

United have signed two players so far this summer – £30.75m Victor Lindelof, and £75m Romelu Lukaku, who Blind believes is a “great signing”.

“He is a great signing, a great player and a great person as well, now that I have met him for a while,” Blind added.

“He works very hard, he is very eager to score goals and very eager to help his teammates and create chances.

“So I am very happy he scored his first goal and I think there are many more to come.”
