Anthony Martial has been picked as Manchester United’s player of the month for September.
Frenchman Martial played only 38 minutes during the entire month, but scored against Everton and impressed in the club’s two Champions League victories.
The vote is decided by a Twitter poll, with 41 per cent of the voters choosing Martial over Romelu Lukaku (31%) and Marouane Fellaini (20%).
Martial was named as the club’s official Man of the Match against CSKA Moscow and Burton Albion. He scored a penalty against Everton and assisted Lukaku’s goal against Crystal Palace.
Martial follows Paul Pogba, who won the award for August. Better luck next time, Romelu.
Those stats! 😮
