McIlroy to keep faith with strikers

The pair dovetailed effectively in last Friday’s 3-3 draw at Rochdale and Michael Twiss could again be forced to make do with a place on the substitutes’ bench at the Don Valley Stadium.
McIlroy told the Morecambe Visitor: “Leaving out Michael Twiss was a tough call because he’s done very well at the start of the season.
“But making tough decisions is what I’m paid to do as manager and I don’t think anyone can say I got it wrong after seeing how Mullin and Jevons played on Friday.”
Midfielder Fraser McLachlan is a long-term absentee for the Shrimps after he twisted his knee in the opening-day draw against Hereford.
