Millers and Shots share the spoils

The home side’s promotion credentials were rarely seen in a first half dominated by the visitors, who came close to a goal inside the first minute when Kirk Hudson’s close range effort was blocked for a corner.
Rotherham’s best efforts came from Tom Pope, who had a shot that deflected over the bar and an added time header that just cleared the bar.
And there was no change after the break. Adam Hinshelwood came within a whisker of a goal with a flick header from Scott Donnelly’s free kick after 64 minutes and a minute later Donnelly rattled the Rotherham woodwork with a free kick from just outside the area.
But Rotherham’s bad day continued and their only decent effort was an Andy Nicholas header which brought a great save from Mikheal Jaimez-Ruiz.
