MK Dons v Bristol Rovers preview

MK Dons will begin life without striker Aaron Wilbraham when they host managerless Bristol Rovers.
Wilbraham has completed a surprise move to Championship high-fliers Norwich after a five-and-a-half year spell with the Dons, and leaves one goal short of hitting his 50th league strike.
However, manager Karl Robinson has been boosted by the return to fitness of Sam Baldock. The striker had been absent with an ankle injury but made his comeback as a late substitute in the 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday and could start.
Midfielder Peter Leven also returned against the Cherries after a groin strain while defender Sean O’Hanlon was back from compassionate leave.
On-loan QPR striker Angelo Balanta will be out of action until March with an ankle injury and utility player Jude Stirling is nearing a return to action after a groin strain but will not make the squad.
Rovers return to League One action hoping to kick-start their relegation battle.
The Pirates have not played in the league since their 6-2 thrashing at Sheffield Wednesday three weeks ago.
They occupy the last relegation berth and a trip to promotion contenders MK will provide a tough test for Darren Patterson’s men.
The caretaker manager – who has no injury worries – says his team have made the most of four successive postponements.
“We have also used the time to get as many points as we can,” Patterson told the Bristol Evening Post.
“We have done a lot of tactical work on the drawing board and now we just want the chance to get out on the grass and put it into practice.”
