Morata ‘happy’ to join Real, but has Prem offers

Alvaro Morata’s agent has reiterated that his client has offers from the Premier League as his suitors wait for Real Madrid’s next move.

The Spain striker is heading back to Real Madrid after they exercised the €30million release clause with his club Juventus, but the striker’s future is still up in the air with Real expected to sell the player on at a figure close to €60million.

And his agent Juanma Lopez has been more than happy to reveal the interest in the 23-year-old, who is believed to be Chelsea boss Antonio Conte’s top striker target.

“He still has offers from top clubs in the Premier League,” Lopez told Spanish publication AS with Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal all believed to be interested.

“We’ll see, we have to talk to Zidane. But for the moment Morata is happy. Whether he’ll stay or not, you have to ask Real Madrid.

“But as things stand he’s a Madrid player from 1 July.”

With Diego Costa angling after a return to Atletico Madrid, Radamel Falcao departing to Monaco and Loic Remy and Alexandre Pato leaving, Conte is desperate to add some depth to his squad and Morata is his No. 1 target.

And Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich went to watch Morata score for Spain in there 2-1 defeat against Croatia in Bordeaux on Tuesday.

Morata has been relaxed about his future all summer and claims game time will be a key factor when he decides where to play next season.

“What I want is to play, be happy, to feel important,” Morata told Marca.

“We’ll see what happens, although it is something that does not depend so much about me.

“Now I am thinking only of the European Championship. But I have the ambition to keep winning titles and finish in a good destination.”
