Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho thinks it is possible for any team to win the Champions League once you get down to the final eight sides.
The Red Devils travel to Spain to face Sevilla, who sit fifth in the La Liga standings, in their last-16 Champions League clash after successfully qualifying from the group stage.
And Mourinho thinks “anything can happen” if the Premier League outfit can beat the Spanish side and move into the quarter-finals.
“Any team that reaches the QF has a chance,” said Mourinho.
“I never thought with Inter or Porto that we had a chance until we got to the QF.
“Some clubs are more ready in this moment to win it, but it’s when you reach the QF that you feel anything can happen.”
On his side being favourites to win against Sevilla, Mourinho added: “I don’t think it’s possible to score 6 here [As he did with Madrid].
“It takes Ronaldo or Messi in their best days to smash goals here. Betis in the derby was a one-off.
“Montella is Italian, and Italians know how to organise their teams defensively”
