Jose Mourinho is worried that the difference in quality will be too much when his Manchester United youngsters take on Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Portuguese boss has been forced to make a number of changes to his Red Devils side with the Europa League final coming only three days after the last Premier League match of the season.
And Mourinho has confirmed that a number of youngsters will play against Sam Allardyce’s men including Demetri Mitchell, Josh Harrop, Angel Gomes and Scott McTominay.
“We will have Mitchell, Harrop, Gomes and McTominay,” said Mourinho.
“I will bring three or four of the first teamers to play one half each on Sunday.
“The only positive is to save my players and give them the best possible conditions to be ready for Wednesday.
“It will be a good occasion for the kids but I repeat the best conditions for a debut is being surrounded by a strong structure.
“I don’t think it’s good that there is a such a big difference in quality and strength between the kids and Crystal Palace.
“Of course I spoke with Nicky and his opinion is important. I’ve been at every game they’ve played at Old Trafford, I know them.”
