Jose Mourinho has suggested that Manchester United could move to sign at least one player in the January transfer window.
Ozil is out of contract at Arsenal in the summer and Atletico Madrid could be open to selling Griezmann as their transfer embargo is lifted in January.
And Mourinho stoked the fires of speculation by suggesting he would be open to signing players when the window opens.
“I’ve nothing to say in relation to that,” he said when asked of his January transfer plans.
“I’m not a big defender of the January market but there are players and situations that sometimes you have the chance to do and you shouldn’t lose that chance.
“I don’t like the January market just to buy. But if you can buy one you would buy in June, with the chance a few months before, then great.”
Asked specifically about Griezmann, Mourinho replied: “I don’t speak about players, especially ones who belong to other clubs, there is no sense to do that.”
