Mourinho reacts to FA Cup win & Pogba illness

Jose Mourinho thinks that it was important that Manchester United “killed the game” in the second half as they beat Huddersfield 2-0 on Saturday.

Romelu Lukaku struck in each half with two clinical finishes to send the Red Devils through to the FA Cup quarter-finals.

And Mourinho was pleased with the victory as he knew they would be tested by a “difficult” Terriers challenge.

“We knew that it would be difficult,” Mourinho told BBC Sport. “It was hard but we started really well. With that second goal in the second half I think we killed the game and from that moment we were in control.

“Good counter-attacks, twice attacking the space well. Twice cold in front of the keeper, good decisions, good shots, good goals, important goals from us.”

On Paul Pogba missing the match with illness, Mourinho added: “I have not seen him. Yesterday he was working normal with us in our preparations. and he was in the team. This morning he was not feeling right to play.”
