Jose Mourinho was full of praise for four Manchester United players after beating Burton 4-1 to ease into the Carabao Cup fourth round.
Mourinho made nine changes to his starting line-up but United’s strong squad paid dividends, with Marcus Rashford scoring twice as a central striker.
The 19-year-old was joined on the scoresheet by Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial, with whom Mourinho was also impressed.
“Martial was good, Lingard was good, [Juan] Mata was good,” Mourinho told Sky Sports after being asked about Rashford.
“I think everybody in attacking areas gave a good dynamic in the team and especially happiness. We look happy playing at this moment and that is what I want.
“Anthony Martial wanted to do things. Some he did amazingly well, others not so well but he was always trying and that commitment and happiness on the pitch is always important.”
