Mourinho rubbishes Terry rift

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has dismissed Steven Gerrard’s claims he has had a falling out with John Terry following their 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The Blues picked up a much-needed win over the Israeli outfit as goals from Willian, Oscar, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas secured a comfortable victory at Stamford Bridge.

Skipper Terry found himself on the bench not for the first time this campaign, prompting former Liverpool captain Gerrard to suggest all is not well within the Blues camp, but Mourinho insists there is no problem and expressed his delight at the win ahead of Saturday’s curcial clash with rivals Arsenal.

“Steven is wrong. I have a very good relationship with (John Terry). Sometimes we contact by SMS. But he’s wrong, because we have no problems,” the Portuguese is quoted as saying by ESPN FC.

“For all of us to wake up [on Thursday] after a defeat, to go to Cobham again, to train again after a defeat, two days before a derby against Arsenal, I could imagine how difficult it would be for everyone.”
