Mourinho shows frustration: ‘They don’t listen to me’
Jose Mourinho expressed his annoyance at two unnecessary yellow cards that Manchester United picked up late on in their 2-0 victory over Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Goals from Henrikh Mkitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic saw the Red Devils safely through to the last 32 of the competition.
Despite controlling much of the game, United let their Ukrainian opponents back into the match in the last 15 minutes and Mourinho expressed his disappointment at the late part of their display.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan knows how to play Jose Mourinho's game, says @danielstorey85. Surely we must see more of him now? https://t.co/JT7RnYpLTT

“We are winning 1-0, 2-0 [but] the team was losing the ball,” explained Mourinho. “Because of that we got two yellow cards that we don’t need, because now Herrera and Bailly have two yellow cards and now next yellow card they are suspended.
“I was telling them to keep the ball, don’t lose the ball so easy, because in the last 15 minutes they kept losing the ball so many times.
“They don’t listen to me, but they understand that it’s just about keeping the ball.”
