Moyes: I’ll be parking my double-decker bus at Anfield

Sunderland boss David Moyes has insisted any team going to Anfield this season has to “park the double-decker bus” and that’s what he plans to do when his side face Liverpool this weekend.

The Black Cats have been resurgent lately with two Premier League wins in a row against Bournemouth and Hull City.

Before those victories, Moyes’ side had only managed to pick up two points all season and looked certainties for relegation.

Sunderland could face their toughest test yet against high-scoring Liverpool on Saturday and Moyes is planning on a defensive-minded approach against Jurgen Klopp’s men.

“I think you have to park the double-decker bus, I think anybody who has to play Liverpool has to park the double-decker bus,” he said.

“But hopefully we’ll have two centre-forwards like we’ve got at the moment scoring goals at the other end of the pitch as well.

“I don’t think you can kid yourself, Liverpool are in good form, a good team, and you have to be able to do that.”
