Gary Neville lambasted new Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac for his “irresponsible defending” against Leicester City.
Arsenal conceded three goals but won the game with a late two-goal salvo. Their defensive flaws of last season were still apparent.
Neville was quick to spot who he believed to be most at fault, with Kolasinac coming in for significant stick.
“I have to say, their new centre-back, it’s so irresponsible what he does,” says Neville on Sky Sports.
“He is there at that back post, he drifts forward, I have no idea what he is doing.
“He drifts forward and leaves a massive void for the rest of his team to cover, and they can’t cover it. It’s poor from him.”
Kolasinac has already become something of a cult hero at Arsenal with his performance against Chelsea in the Community Shield. He did get an assist for Danny Welbeck’s first-half equaliser.
