Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho thinks Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s humour is one of his major strengths and has described him as a “funny guy” following his move from Paris Saint-Germain.
The pair used to work together at Inter Milan and Mourinho has added him to his Red Devils squad alongside fellow new arrivals Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly.
Ibrahimovic, who has signed an initial one-year deal at Old Trafford, is known for being one of the biggest personalities in football and Mourinho admits he is a huge fan of the Swedish striker.
“Zlatan? Three words — he’s a winner, he’s a goalscorer, he’s funny,” Mourinho said, speaking to Adidas Front Row.
“He’s a funny guy. You need to understand him to use this word to describe him. He’s a funny guy.
“If you don’t know him maybe you think some quotes a bit arrogant. He’s just a funny guy. I would say that. Funny, winner and goalscorer.
“I was so happy to go for him and obviously he’s happy to work with me.”
