The lawyer who helped Neymar leave Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain has offered his advice to Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez has one year remaining on his contract at Arsenal, and was eager to leave the club this summer.
Manchester City almost signed the Chilean, but Arsenal’s failure to source a replacement caused the deal to collapse.
The Gunners are now content with keeping Sanchez for now and losing him for free in 12 months if, as expected, they are unable to renegotiate his deal.
Juan de Dios Crespo, the Spanish sporting lawyer, who helped Neymar buy out his Barcelona release clause this summer so he could join PSG, has offered advice to the Arsenal forward.

“In England there is the transfer request but the clubs can refuse to sell a player or indicate a transfer amount in the contract, and here there isn’t,” Crespo told El Mercurio.
“Sanchez made a mistake, didn’t use the weapons he had. If he used the transfer request, Arsenal would have said ‘you’re worth 40 or 60 million’, that is, you have a basis to negotiate, but it should have been done in July.
“If Alexis Sanchez does it ‘in rebellion’, he will do it without just cause and will be subject to sports and economic sanctions. It has to be something consensual with Arsenal.
“Sanchez is a worker, he can leave, but he has to pay an exorbitant amount. He has to reach an agreement with Arsenal, the amount will not be only the remains of the contract in money, but much more.
“The best thing is to stay until June. If the Chilean presses, they will surely put a figure for him to to go.
“It should be a high figure, because the English usually establish it as a contractual break.
“It is absurd to ask for the transfer request in January, why get into trouble with Arsenal? Sanchez will be able to leave according to the amount of money that dictates a judge and not as the player wants.”
