Neymar says that he told former Barcelona teammate Gerard Pique not to post a picture insinuating that he would stay at the Spanish club.
Brazilian forward Neymar completed his world-record move to PSG on Thursday after weeks of speculation over his future.
Pique helped fuel such talk by posting a picture of the pair together a week before his departure, with a captain of: ‘He stays’
Neymar says he asked his former teammate not to post the picture as talks were ongoing between his old and new clubs, but that he isn’t annoyed at the defender.

“It was a bit of a relaxed moment,” Neymar told ESPN FC. “We weren’t playing on that day, we were having lunch together and he posted that picture. We were just having fun.
“I told him not to do it, not to post it because I didn’t know. I hadn’t made my decision. I was thinking about so many things at the time. This has been a very complicated decision. I made it two days ago.
“It was just a picture. He wanted to make a joke and maybe express his feelings. I respect that. He’s one of my close friends in the world of football and I hope he will be happy in the future.”
