No new worries as Gers start CL bid

Kevin Thomson could be in the frame for the tournament opener despite a lack of game-time, with Smith admitting he has yet to decide on his starting line-up. The midfielder was sent off just 14 minutes into his comeback match against Hearts – his first competitive outing since November – and did not feature in the goalless draw at Motherwell on Saturday after serving his suspension.
Smith will also decide whether Jerome Rothen should retain his place in the team after the on-loan Paris Saint-Germain winger made his debut at the weekend. Long-term casualties Maurice Edu and Kirk Broadfoot remain on the sidelines.
Rangers (from): McGregor, Whittaker, Weir, Bougherra, Papac, Mendes, Davis, McCulloch, Rothen, Novo, Miller, Naismith, Boyd, Thomson, Fleck, Wilson, Beasley, Alexander.
