Nottingham Forest appoint Montanier as manager
Nottingham Forest have announced the appointment of Philippe Montanier as the club’s new manager.
Montanier was sacked by Rennes in January, but did guide the club to the Coupe de France final during his two years in charge.
Prior to that, Montanier was the coach of Real Sociedad, who he took to a surprise fourth place in La Liga and Champions league qualification.
Montanier has been appointed on a two-year deal, and will try to become the first manager since 2010/11 to go a whole season at the City Ground without being sacked.
I am delighted to announce we have completed the appointment of Philippe Montainer as head coach #NFFC

Let’s hope the new coach isn’t too bothered about having his name spelled correctly.
