Mesut Ozil says he isn’t in a rush to sign a new contract at Arsenal but the midfielder is “very happy” in London.
The 27-year-old has been in scintillating form so far this season, contributing 15 assists in the north London side’s rise up the Premier League table.
Ozil, who signed for the Gunners for £42.5million from Real Madrid in 2013, is reportedly set to be offered fresh terms in the new year.
The German’s contract runs out in 2018, but he has denied there have been any talks.
“There is no rush to sign a new contract,” Ozil told Kicker.
“My current deal runs until 2018. That is still two-and-a-half years. There are no talks at the moment.
“I can only say that I am very happy in London. My decision to leave Real Madrid for Arsenal was the right one.
“There has not been a single day, apart from whenever I was injured, that I did not feel great here.”
