Pardrew: ‘I’ll try and get Terry at Palace’
Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew says he will make another attempt to lure John Terry if he leaves Chelsea in the summer.
Pardew claims he has offered Terry a place in his Palace side every time their paths cross, but his suggestion usually raises a laugh.
Terry claims he will not play for another Premier League after leaving Chelsea and is expected to move to China or the United States (or Spain, if you use Pardew’s bizarre logic).
“I’ve bumped into John Terry on occasion and asked him many times to join me,” said Pardew. “He always sniggers at the suggestion.
“Of course I will ask one more time. I’m sure I’ll bump into him again and ask the question.
“He’s got a winning mentality that anyone would want. I’ve seen his comments about leaving Chelsea and he’s probably called it right.
“He’ll have plenty of options, MLS, Gary Neville has gone to Spain, and there’s China.
“He’s got now until the summer to decide the right move for him and his family.”
