Pedro ‘very excited’ to seal Chelsea move

The 28-year-old had been linked to Manchester United all summer, but with the club ‘ending their interest’ in the Spain international, concrete interest from Chelsea emerged on Wednesday, and the Premier League champions had completed the deal in less than 24 hours.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official club website, the new signing added: “I am very happy to be here. I am very excited to start my adventure at Chelsea and I am here to keep winning titles.
“Thanks to the club and the supporters for giving me the opportunity to put the blue shirt on.”
Pedro has been in the Barca first-team since 2007, scoring 99 goals in 321 appearances for the Catalan club.
During his time at the Nou Camp he won five La Liga titles and three Champions League trophies, as well as adding a World Cup and European Championship with Spain to his collection.
