Pep hits out at media; says he is ‘like a woman’
Pep Guardiola has criticised the media in Germany, with the Bayern Munich manager revealing he is “like a woman”.
Manchester City revealed that Guardiola would replace manager Manuel Pellegrini in the summer last week, bringing the Spaniard’s three-season stay in Germany to an end.
Bayern resumed their Bundesliga campaign with back-to-back victories in January, maintaining their eight-point lead at the league’s summit from Borussia Dortmund, but Guardiola has lamented his treatment in the German media.
“Us managers get no respect whatsoever in the world,” Guardiola said. “It doesn’t matter what we say. I am here, OK, because I have to be here. There is no more respect for managers.
“Why don’t you write about the many nice things I say about the players? There are media outlets here in Germany that haven’t asked me a single question about football since I got here. I don’t know why managers even give press conferences any more.”
The former Barcelona manager was then questioned as to whether he is already thinking about his next post at City, to which he replied: “I’m like a woman, I can do two things at once.”
