Pep Guardiola has apologised for piling pressure on Premier League managers by revealing that England is his next destination.
The Spaniard will leave Bayern Munich next summer and made the curious decision to confirm that he is heading to the Premier League.
There is an assumption that Guardiola will take over at Manchester City but he has also been strongly linked with Manchester United and Chelsea; our John Nicholson thinks he should take on the United challenge.
“I am sorry. Normally, in my career as a trainer, as a player, I respect a lot my colleagues, so I am sorry. It wasn’t my intention,” said Guardiola.
“I will reveal my new club once I have actually signed a contract.
“I have not talked with the players about my imminent move to England. We are only talking about football. But they all already know anyway.”
