Manchester City “are talking actively to Kylian Mbappe’s representatives”, according to Spanish football expert Graham Hunter.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with the French teenager, who reportedly favours a move to Real Madrid.
Even the Bookmakers, like Ladbrokes, have no idea where the Frenchman will head next, should he leave AS Monaco.
But now Hunter claims that City are being very proactive in their attempts to persuade Mbappe to join City and work with Pep Guardiola.
“City are talking actively to Mbappe’s representatives, saying they are best placed to develop his career, where he could work with Pep Guardiola and be paid handsomely,” Hunter told Sky Sports News HQ.
“Real Madrid, meanwhile, are wooing Mbappe’s agents saying they will break the transfer record for this kid. Zidane, of course, has known Mbappe since he was 14.
“The battle is with Manchester City and they are persuasive and Mbappe is now thinking long and hard between London, Madrid, Paris and now Manchester. City are in that battle.
“At the moment it’s hard to see him choosing Monaco over one of those, but none of those clubs know who is favourite to sign this exceptional 18-year-old.”

Manchester City will be hoping to deny Chelsea a second successive title this coming season, and with the club still firmly in the hunt to bring in the highly rated Frenchman, it could prove pivotal to their success this coming season if they can’t persuade him to join.
Sergio Aguero has been the club’s leading talisman for many consecutive seasons, but it would be good for the club to try and offload some of the pressure the Argentine has on his shoulders, by bringing in another almost guaranteed goal scorer.
Which ever club manages to secure the signing of Mbappe, they will be in for a treat, with the youngster one of the most exciting prospects in the football world currently.
