Phil Jones is likely to discover on Wednesday whether his season is over after sustaining a toe injury on England duty.
Jones clashed with teammate Chris Smalling and there are fears that a broken toe will keep him out for the rest of the season.
It is particularly worrying as Smalling himself returned from England duty with a leg injury and has been seen wearing a brace.

Manchester United have nine games in April and are now relying on Marcos Rojo and Eric Bailly to stay fit.
They are already without Ander Herrera and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for this weekend’s clash with West Brom, while Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini both have knocks.
