Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi has ended speculation surrounding his future by signing a new deal at the Stade Velodrome.
The 22-year-old, who has netted 11 goals in 19 appearances this season, had been a reported target for Newcastle, Tottenham and Crystal Palace, but has now committed his future to Marseille until 2020.
Batshuayi’s teammate Benjamin Mendy, who was linked with Manchester United last month, has also agreed a new contract.
“The defender (Mendy) is now linked to the most successful French club until 2019,” an official statement read.
“The striker (Batshuayi), already the scorer of 32 goals in an OM jersey, until 2020. Both players have signed their new commitment alongside president Vincent Labrune.”
Marseille are currently 10th in Ligue 1, and will host Guingamp in their first league game of 2016 on Sunday evening.
