Mauricio Pochettino believes that Arsenal still “has the possibility to be involved” in the race to finish in the top four.
Arsenal are sixth in the Premier League table, eight points behind fifth-placed Chelsea, and a further two points off the pace of Tottenham, who are fourth.
The Gunners face Manchester City on Thursday and Jose Mourinho believes they must beat the Premier League leaders to stand a chance of finishing in the top four.
But Pochettino insists that Tottenham’s north London rivals are “involved” in the “battle” regardless.
“It’s easier to see the table which teams are involved in the battle,” Pochettino said.
“We’re in a situation where we can be involved to the end of the season. The most important thing is to keep doing well, being consistent in our results in the Premier League and try to win games.
“There are still ten games to the end, we need to be consistent to be in the top four at the end of the season, but there’s a lot of work to do.”
Asked whether Arsenal were still in the race, Pochettino replied: “Of course.
“They’re in a position in the table that has the possibility to be involved. I think they’re involved in the top four battle.”
