Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino insists he has no regrets about not adding his his squad in the January window.
Harry Kane scored twice in a 3-0 win over Norwich on Tuesday night to take his tally for the season to 15 Premier League goals but he remains the club’s only senior out-and-out striker.
“I am very happy with the squad that we have,” said Pochettino after Tottenham leapfrogged Arsenal into third. “We have enough quality to fight for different competitions.
“We are in the process where it is difficult to add the right player, you can see every week that it is difficult to find the right player to improve our squad. I believe in my squad. The players showed that we can trust them.”
Dele Alli scored the first goal against the Canaries but was then substituted at half-time, with Pochettino saying: “He felt a little bit dizzy in the last few minutes before we left the changing room so we had to act quickly. We will assess him tomorrow but the signs are good.”
